Donielle + Jake's Winter Wedding Stationery

With a fondness for nature and small town living, Donielle and Jake embrace the midwest winter months and so appropriately decided to have a December wedding. Their venue was a historic opera house in the quaint, mid-Michigan town of Grand Ledge. They chose a palette of several shades of grey, a light green and touches of silver for their celebration and it couldn't have turned out more beautiful. (Donielle is a close friend of mine, so I had the pleasure of seeing the entire event come together after being a part of the planning!) In designing their stationery, I used elements such as the evergreen patterns and both script and modern fonts to compose their invitation, while keeping in mind the vision for the wedding. The goal was to be simple, yet unique, with a touch of the winter greenery. We livened things up a bit with the less traditional color approach featuring full color patterns and a green fade on the front of the invitation.

The z-fold format with the bottom panel being a detachable response postcard was my suggestion to save on envelope cost and additional postage and they were kind enough to let me run with it! The invitation was printed on a 130# recycled paper stock with silver foil stamping.
